Hunger Games Trilogy

WARNING:
DO NOT READ IF YOU GET EXTREMELY ATTACHED TO CHARACTERS,
HATE VIOLENCE,
OR JUST PLAIN OLD HATE GETTING YOUR HEART BROKEN!!

*now completely disregard what I said above.

Even if the above is true for you, this book is a serious MUST READ. Sure your favorite characters die, sure Katniss (the butt-kicking protaganist) DOESN"T end up with the guy you like (SPOILER: for all those Gale fans out there), but still. If you don't read this you are missing out on a huuuuge fan base and probably one of the most heart-pumping, out-of-breath book moments out there. Seriously... I got exercise just from reading the book, that's how intense it was. Just to give you a little background on this amazing series that you have most definitely heard of unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years...

The Hunger Games, voted number #1 New York TImes Bestseller, #1 USA Today Bestseller, Wall Street Journal Bestseller, Publishers Weekly Bestseller, Top Ten Best Books For Young Adults Selection, the list goes on and on! Also, right now Part 1 of Mockingjay is being filmed in Atlanta (YAY!) and will be released in November (Ahhh can't wait!), so if you are seriously behind the reading curve and haven't read this book yet, HURRY UP, before everyone *including me* spoils the end for you.

Summary:
This book is about heroine, Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers *AS TRIBUTE!* to save her younger sister from having to fight in the arena.

*SPOILER*: which actually ends up being a COMPLETE WASTE because she dies in the end!!

*back to the summary:* The Hunger Games is actually a contest (in this distopia world) that is broadcasted on live television, so that everyone can watch as 24 teen tributes fight to the death until only one victor remains. In later books Katniss's actions from the end of the first book spark a rebellion in the District which turns into full blown war :oooooo.

Ok so that was a crazy short summary, because I was trying not to give anything away, (hehe besides my spoiler).

Synopsis:

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games," a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed.

My final statement: READ IT! READ IT! READ IT!

About this Blog

Hey guys! Soooo this is my first time writing a blog, and im really excited :D I can be pretty hyper, and have the biggest fiction addiction you will probably ever encounter. I am obsessed with movies, TV shows, books.... especially books ;) and anything else related to made up things and imagination.

In this blog I will mainly post book, movie, and TV reviews for different young adult and adult series. :) Also, you can see and learn different things about me to the right ----> where I have different pages and you can see some of my artwork and learn about some pretty strange obsessions I have... mainly Finnick and Aiden <3. And to answer the question that is going through your head: yes, ok, its weird how much I love them - I'm a teen cut me some slack... I only get to be like this for a short period of time before it gets really, REALLY weird ;) [probably already is]

Anyway hope you like my blog!!

P.s. Feel free to recommend shows or books or whatever you want to me!! I'm always open to suggestions
